Books in the office – at last The Alternative.
The printed copies have arrived from the printers! The book ‘The Alternative’, compiled by Labour MP Lisa Nandy, Green MP Caroline Lucas, and me, have now arrived in the offices of Biteback publishing.
That’s more than a month before the official publication date (25 August) but masses of work goes on in the final month before a book is officially out, including reviews, serialisation and general publicity and marketing.
All we need now is for the political situation not to have too many more convulsions, so the book doesn’t seem out of date, given that it went to press on 1 July – exactly seven days after the referendum result became known.
